Auction sites are great because you
can reach a large amount of people that are looking
for great deals. It's a great place to sell new and
used merchandise. I think it's especially good for
one of a kind items.
Ebay - The
largest auction website. There are pro's and con's
to selling here.
Pro's....1.
Easy to use, 2. Many many shoppers, 3. Various
options for setting up your own online business
Con's....1.
They charge a listing fee and another fee once the
item sells
2. They have many, many sellers. This could be a problem if
your selling an item that a lot of other people are
selling.
Ebay is a great place to sell both new and used

Yahoo - Probably the second largest auction website. The real benefit is that selling here is free!
AuctionFire - here's another free auction website.
CLASSIFIED WEBSITES:
Most areas have local newspapers that offer online classifieds ads. The
benefit to these websites is that your selling to a
local customer who can most likely pickup the
merchandise. However if you use one of the websites
below, you can reach a much large group of shoppers
from all across the country.
Craigs List - a large on line classified website. Posting your for sale ads here is also free. This website primarily for used merchandise. Make sure you click on your local area first on the right hand side of the screen.
USFreeAds - Classified ads on line.
Recycler - A newer online classified website.
TraderOnline -classifieds for used and new cars, trucks, SUVs, boats, RVs, cycles, big trucks, rigs, semis, industrial equipment
