Here are some helpful hints on how to sell on ebay......

1. Category - Make sure that your placing your item in the appropriate category. If you put it in the wrong category, you might miss a potential buyer. Also, consider listing your ad in multiple categories to increase your visibility.

2. Title - Your title is extremely important. Many buyers do searches on keywords in the title. If your title omits the keywords of the item, your item will not come up. Example: if your selling an "Easter Barbie" make sure that the title has both words - as opposed to a title that says "Holiday Doll". Try to think like a potential buyer and load your title with keywords that they would search.

3. Picture - a picture is worth a thousand words, especially on ebay. Many buyers will not buy an item unless they can see it. A picture shows that you have the item and the condition. In most cases, adding multiple pictures from multiple angles is very helpful.

4. Your Rating - try to get your positive rating up as high as possible. Many buyers will not buy from someone that is a newbie. If you are new to ebay, buy a few inexpensive items, pay quickly, then ask the seller to give you a positive rating.

5. Shipping Charges - include the estimated shipping costs in your ad.

6. Description - be as descriptive as possible. Describe the item in detail. You want to make sure that the potential buyer knows exactly what he's buying.
