1.Idea - Outline the purpose of your website. Do a rough sketch of what you want it to look like. Your website can either sell a product or be information based. Your website also needs a central theme. I would suggest you consider a niche market. This is probably the best way to increase your chances for success. Once you've decided the theme for your website, need to outline the Business Plan.
2. Domain Name -
Once you have an idea of what type of webpage you
want to create, you need to get a domain name. The
most common extension on a domain name is ".com".
Other popular extensions are ".net" & ".org". Dotster.com
is a
great place to purchase your domain name. They are
affordable and their screens are very easy to use.
3.Software - Unless you know HTML, you'll
need software to create your web page. I use
Microsoft FrontPage. It's a very user friendly
program. There are also a number of other good
software packages. The cheapest way to do it is to
use the software from Yahoo. I'll be adding more
info soon on various ways of creating your website.
